In the Gospel music industry or in music ministry, you will need discernment. Not everyone who calls themselves preacher, pastor, minister, evangelist or Gospel artist is worthy of your trust. As a trusting individual, that was a hard reality for me to accept. I used to take the word of people simply because they said they were a Christian (or their position dictated such). I can’t do that anymore. And neither can you. There are too many people who are out there to deceive. For the next level God is taking you to, keen discernment is a must.

Because of the many people that will be coming at you when God elevates your music ministry, you will need to know who is for you and who is not for you. You will not be able to go by what they say, what they look like or what they act like. You will have to use God‘s wisdom to know the truth. Some people are not right and won’t do right even though the title “Christian” or “Gospel Artist” or “Pastor” is attached to their name. Endeavor to follow what the Spirit of the Lord is telling you, not in anticipation that the person will do the right thing. Hear the spirit of God at that moment in time and go by what He says and what He says only.
